The 3Cs

Ian Jukes will tell us we are living in exponential times, where technology is not doubling, it is quadrupling. Thomas Freidman will tell us we are no longer working with people next to us between the hours of eight and five. We are now teaming and competing with people around the world and around the clock.

This is the world in which our kids currently are leading, learning and living in. Unfortunately for so many, this is a world they wait until they get home from school, to participate in. They attend schools that are caught in the 1990’s or School 1.0. Is it the result we still have 1.0 schools because they cannot afford or lack the resources to participate in this ever changing world? The answer is simply no. The biggest obstacle to schools is the lack of awareness and skills.

The 3C’s website is a way to explore School 2.0. This website will help us discover that time and space are irrelevant borders. We will learn exciting ways to teach what the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation call the “New three R’s (rigor, reliance and relationships)” in a flat world.

To achieve the three R’s, we will use the 3C’s (collecting, collaborating and creating) in a school 2.0 environment.

This website will allow educators lead, learn and live in the world of today, to prepare our students for tomorrow, to prevent schools from becoming a thing of the past.
